NATIONAL AG DAY CELEBRATION
The Nebraska Agri-Business Club from Lincoln, Nebraska along with the Omaha
Agri-Business Club host an annual joint meeting each March to recognize and
celebrate National Ag Day. The event includes a social hour, a formal dinner,
special guest speaker, along with a silent auction. The proceeds of the silent
auction go to support 4-H, Ag In The Class Room, FFA, and the Nebraska
Agriculture Awareness Coalition. Speakers have included: Governor Mike Johanns;
Ben Nelson, Past Governor of Nebraska; Irvin Omtvedt, Vice Chancellor Institute
of Agriculture & Natural Resources, University of Nebraska - Lincoln; and
Merlyn Carlson, Director of the Nebraska State Department of Agriculture.
AGRICULTURE EDUCATION SUPPORT
The Omaha Agri-Business Club actively supports four of the state's premiere
agricultural education programs. The 4-H, FFA, Ag-In the Classroom, and
Ag-Awareness Coalition are awarded annual scholarships during the November
business meeting of the Omaha Agri-Business Club. Many club members work
for or volunteer as leaders in providing services within one or more of these
fine educational programs. Educating the region's youth concerning the
importance of agriculture and economy remains a primary goal for the Club.

ANNUAL FAMILY AND FRIENDS OUTINGS
The Omaha Agri-Business Club hosts a family and friends outing each summer. The
outings are fun events generally introducing participates to new attractions in
the region. These events are quite popular and therefore are well attended.
Past outings include: A tour of Robinson Seed Company at Waterloo, Nebraska,
the IMAX Theater at the Henry Doorley Zoo in Omaha, the Wild Life Safari Park
near Mahoney State Park, James Arthur Vineyards at Raymond, Nebraska,
